Experience
Hello! My name is Kelley Kennedy and this is my 11th year teaching in the Medfield Public School district. I feel fortunate to be working with such a dedicated group of teachers, administrators and support staff. Prior to coming to Wheelock, I worked in several other public school systems in a variety of inclusive and substantially separate classrooms.
Education
I received a Bachelor's Degree in Health Education from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and a Masters Degree in Teaching Students with Moderate Disabilites from Framingham State University. I have also received substantial training in the principals of Applied Behavior Analysis through the New England Center for Children (NECC) and Beacon ABA Services.
Family
I live in Franklin, MA. with my husband, Joe, and our youngest daughter, Caroline who is a nurse at Milford Regional Medical Center. My three oldest children have all graduated from college and are now living their best lives on their own. In our free time, we enjoy traveling bike riding, hiking, reading, and playing board games. We also enjoy playing with our two dogs, Franklin and Forrest. Franklin is a classroom assistance dog who was trained by the NEADS organization in Princeton, MA. He is a golden retriever/yellow lab mix and has been working with me here at Wheelock since 2017. Franklin comes to school with me every day to assist students in the Learning Center and throughout Wheelock school. :). Forrest is a black lab and although he was also trained at NEADS, he was not able to meet their strict requirements to become a therapy or assistant dog. So we get to enjoy him when we are at home.
